Rolls-Royce continues to astonish with its ultra-luxurious, one-of-a-kind creations, unveiling the Amethyst Droptail at Monterey Car Week. The vehicle is the second in a series of four, following the La Rose Noire Droptail.

A Rich Heritage and Artistic Craftsmanship

This unique coach-built masterpiece celebrates the heritage, family legacy, and personal passions of its mysterious owner, a client with a remarkable collection of precious jewels, significant motor cars, and contemporary artwork, all housed in a private museum.

Rolls-Royce

Gifted by a customer whose family business has blossomed into a multinational corporation, the Amethyst Droptail represents affluence and exclusivity. The amethyst theme is inspired by the owner's son's birthstone, symbolizing purity, clarity, and resilience, and is integrated throughout the vehicle.

Rolls-Royce

Exterior Elegance

The exterior of the car features a two-tone paint inspired by the Globe Amaranth wildflower that blooms near one of the client's homes. The body showcases shades of purple with a silver touch, complemented by a darker hue containing a blend of red, blue, and violet mica flakes.

Rolls-Royce

Special 22-inch wheels, a Pantheon grille with a brushed and polished finish, and a carbon fiber section tinted with Amethyst pigment further accentuate the vehicle's exterior allure.

Rolls-Royce

Groundbreaking Interior Features

The interior is where the Amethyst Droptail truly dazzles. With the largest wooden surface area ever crafted by Rolls-Royce, the veneer deck is a blend of beauty and functionality. Wood specialists and aerodynamicists collaborated to create this aerodynamically functional wooden surface.

Rolls-Royce

A detachable hardtop with colored electrochromic glass adds to the intrigue. When deactivated, the glass matches the exterior Amethyst car finish, while when turned on, it becomes translucent, reflecting the interior Sand Dunes shade.

Rolls-Royce

Amethyst is integrated throughout the interior, from the instrument cluster to the panel control. Woven leather mats and a Swiss timepiece complete the luxurious cabin.

Rolls-Royce

A Work of Art

The Amethyst Droptail transcends mere automotive design to become a work of art and one of the most significant vehicles ever built by Rolls-Royce. The attention to detail, personalization, and integration of rich cultural symbolism are unparalleled.

Though performance specifications have not been disclosed, they seem almost secondary to the vehicle's artistic and cultural significance.

With the Amethyst Droptail, Rolls-Royce has reaffirmed its position as a purveyor of unique, personalized luxury. By crafting a vehicle that resonates deeply with its owner's passions and heritage, the brand showcases its commitment to excellence, creativity, and artistry, further cementing its legacy as a luxury icon.
