Rolls-Royce Spectre Semaphore Is A Masterpiece In Motion With A Touch Of California Flair

Rolls-Royce takes pride in providing a wide range of custom customization choices for its vehicles, and the most recent construction is no exception.

This model is named for the Bespoke Semaphore Yellow that is used on the bodywork. The "Marbled Paint Spill" hood, nevertheless, is the center of attention. Using the "informal elegance of coastal California" as an inspiration, the company calls the artwork an "abstract tribute to the Golden State and its diverse environment."

Someone reportedly drove over winding roads while splattering paint on the Spectre's nose. That was only the beginning of the process, though; in order to achieve the desired seamless finish, the luxury carmaker applied silver lacquer and many coats of clearcoat. The hood's concept, development, and fabrication took over 160 hours, proving that true uniqueness demands persistence and commitment.

The interior carries over the exterior's bright-colored motif with a deft blend of Citrine and Bespoke Lemon Yellow for the upholstery and matching dials on the instrument cluster. The more subdued accents of Grace White and Slate Grey harmonize with the many forms of yellow, while the dashboard wood inserts are painted in cashmere grey with silver mica flakes.

Not to forget, a Pebble Beach 2024 Special Commission plaque and a manufacturing stamp from the Goodwood facility decorate the door sills. The Rolls-Royce Spectre's foundation is unaltered, as is typical with custom installations. Thanks to its 120 kWh battery pack, the all-electric engine generates 577 horsepower and 660 lb-ft of torque.

The Rolls-Royce Spectre Semaphore offers a range of 266 miles, making it a practical choice for longer drives. On August 16, the special model will be on display at The Quail, A Motorsports Gathering, as part of the 2024 Monterey Car Week in California. Unfortunately, the price remains unknown.
