The Dawn has been a remarkable success for the brand, with its drophead design becoming the best-selling model in its history. Briefly, the Dawn was released in 2015, and the more potent Black Badge variant followed in 2017.

Rolls-Royce Dawn has been touted as the quietest convertible in the world by the company. As of March 2022, orders for the Rolls-Royce Dawn and the Wraith have been closed. However, production has continued to fulfill the existing orders. Rolls-Royce has not yet disclosed any information regarding their plans for a potential successor.
