Rivian Turns Up The Heat With The California Dune R1T And R1S

Rivian just rolled out the California Dune Editions for the R1T and R1S, and these things are built to turn heads while tearing up the trails. Inspired by California’s desert landscapes, they bring a mix of rugged capability and sleek style.

The first thing you’ll notice is the exclusive California Dune paint, which pops even more with blacked-out accents. The 20-inch wheels come in either a matching body color or a slick Satin Graphite finish, depending on how bold you want to go.

These rigs are fully prepped for adventure. They come with Rivian’s All-Terrain Package, meaning you get underbody protection, an onboard air compressor, and roof-mounted crossbars loaded up with Maxtrax recovery boards. The Rivian R1T even throws in a power tonneau cover and a full-size spare, just in case.

Inside, the vibe is just as cool, with an Adventure interior that blends Sandstone and Black Mountain upholstery, dark ash wood trim, and durable Chilewich floor mats. It’s rugged, but still premium enough to feel like a high-end ride.

Rivian

Performance? Yeah, it’s wild. Both models pack a tri-motor setup—one up front, two in the back—pushing out a massive 850 hp and 1,103 lb-ft of torque. That kind of power launches them from 0 to 60 mph in just 2.9 seconds, while the Max battery gives you up to 329 miles of range, so you can hit the trails without worrying about plugging in too soon.

Rivian

Pricing starts at $99,900 for the Rivian R1T and $105,900 for the R1S, and deliveries should happen within a few weeks. If you want an EV that’s as ready for the dunes as it is for the daily grind, these are up for grabs now.
