During the Busan Motor Show in Korea, Renault introduced the Grand Koleos, a new hybrid SUV. The Renault Grand Koleos, which looks similar to the 2021 Geely Xingyue L, is clearly a sister model. Nevertheless, it boasts a number of reworked body panels, making it the first offering from the collaboration between Geely and Renault.

New LED graphics adorn the headlights, and the front end takes after the iconic Renault grille and bumper intakes. However, the back end is unchanged, save for minor tweaks to the bumper and tailgate. Up front, you can see the new LED graphics on the headlights, Renault's distinctive grille, and bumper intakes.

Although the profile looks familiar, the sheet metal is brand new, and there has been a minor revision to the greenhouse towards the back. On the other hand, the rear has seen little change, save for a few tweaks to the bumper and the tailgate. Also on display was the Esprit Alpine, the top-of-the-line trim level. The distinctive 20-inch alloy wheels, blue exterior accents, and Alpine badging on the fenders make this model stand out. The interior has a somber color scheme with blue accents and Alcantara upholstery.

A triple 12.3-inch display layout, sourced from Geely, occupies the majority of the dashboard in all trim levels. Its wheelbase is 2,820 millimeters (111 inches), and its length is 4,780 millimeters (188.2 inches). As a result, it's larger than the departing Koleos, as well as the Austral and Espace SUVs built for the European Union. A spacious trunk measuring 633 liters (22.4 cubic feet) is available exclusively in the five-seater interior.

The Renault Grand Koleos, like its identical twin, the Geely Xingyue L, is based on the CMA architecture. The Volvo XC40 and several models from Geely and Lynk & Co. also utilize this architecture. The platform is compatible with electric vehicle configurations, but it also offers options for internal combustion engine and hybrid powertrains. The electric system has two electric motors and a 1.5-liter turbocharged engine that together produce 242 horsepowe. You can also get 208 horsepower from a turbocharged 2.0-liter gasoline engine.

Both models send power to the front axle, with the ICE model offering all-wheel drive as an option. The Korean market will get the Renault Grand Koleos in the fall, and the automaker is currently taking pre-orders.
