Range Rover Sport SV Ultimate Edition Starts At £145,995 In The UK

Land Rover is tapping into a bit of its own history with a new special edition for the UK market. The Range Rover Sport SV Ultimate Edition pays tribute to the original Range Rover Sport SVR from 2015 and brings back one of the brand’s most recognizable colors.
The highlight is the return of Velocity Blue Gloss, a shade that became closely tied to the early SVR models. This is the first time it has appeared on the current Range Rover Sport SV. Buyers who want something more understated can also choose Obsidian Black Satin or Ethereal Frost Satin instead.

All three colors come with a black roof and pillars, along with dark exterior accents and badges. The SUV rides on large 23-inch forged wheels finished in either dark grey or black, while the brake calipers can be ordered in blue or black for a bit of contrast.

Inside, the cabin keeps the same luxury feel you would expect from a top Range Rover. It features perforated Windsor leather in Light Cloud and Ebony, along with a panoramic roof as standard. You also get the SV’s signature touches, like the 29-speaker Meridian sound system and the unusual Body and Soul Seats, which use built-in haptic transducers so you can actually feel the bass through the seat.

Mechanically, nothing has changed from the standard SV, which is hardly a problem. Power still comes from a BMW-sourced twin-turbo 4.4-liter V8 paired with a mild-hybrid system. It produces 626 horsepower and 750 Nm of torque, briefly rising to 800 Nm when Dynamic Launch Mode is activated.

That is enough to push the large SUV from 0 to 60 mph in about 3.7 seconds and on to a top speed of around 180 mph. The model also uses Land Rover’s advanced 6D Dynamics suspension, which helps control body roll, pitch, and dive during hard driving.

Land Rover will build just 500 examples of the SV Ultimate Edition, all for the UK market. Pricing starts at £145,995, placing it firmly in the same territory as other SV-badged Range Rovers.
