Punk Cat Has Received A Number Of Improvements From Great Wall's ORA Brand

Great Wall's ORA brand has made a lot of changes to the Punk Cat before the electric car is sold to people. The ORA Punk Cat was first shown at the Beijing Auto Show in April. It looks a lot like the VW Beetle, and it has almost-identical round headlights and taillights. ORA has changed the EV's design, however, according to pictures recently submitted with China's Ministry of Industry and Information Technology. 

The Beetle-inspired circular headlights have been replaced with rounder lights with flat bottoms, making the alterations at the front extremely noticeable. ORA has also eliminated the heavy chrome trims around the wheel arches, as well as completed modest changes to the front bumper and grille form.

The production-ready Punk Cat now features a charging flap immediately in front of the wing mirrors, where the original display vehicle featured a set of shark gills. The styling changes continue at the back, with a new set of taillights being the same form as the headlights and a noticeable trunk lid spoiler.

The car's dimensions are 4,401 mm long, 1,867 mm wide, and 1,633 mm in height, with a 2,750 mm wheelbase and a curb weight of 1,710 kg. Only one engine will be available: a 169 hp (126 kW) electric motor that will propel the Punk Cat to a top speed of 155 km/h (96 mph). A lithium-iron-phosphate battery pack powers this motor, however, no capacity information is available.
