Production Version Of The Citroen C5 Aircross Goes To Shanghai

The Shanghai Auto Show in April will host the production version of the Aircross Concept, dubbed Citroen C5 Aircross.

C5 name was first meant to be a sedan, but the name will be used for a new crossover. The French brand is planning on enlarging the number of SUVs and crossovers produced, as they are pretty demanded by the customers.

There are two sketches released and it is noticeable that C5 Aircross resembles a lot the concept presented two years ago. The car features the same red color as the concept and it is equipped with the same front grille, headlights, big wheels, and roof racks.

There are not any official details regarding the vehicle, but there is a guess it will use the same EMP2 platform as Peugeot 5008 SUV. The model will be manufactured in Rennes, France.
