Prodrive Renault Is The New Alliance For The World RX In 2018

The French driver Guerlain Chicherit has got a partnership with a British equipment company in Banbury to re-design completely a new Renault Megane IV Supercar. It's supposed to be launched at the ninth round of World RX at Loheac in France this fall. The Prodrive Renault alliance sounds quite promising.
Chicherit is known for competing in six World RX events, starting in 2015 with a JRM Racing-run Mini RX Supercar. Now, he's planning to compete in 2017 events, but it's not sure what car he will use.
The JRM Mini RX model was first manufactured and modeled by Prodrive. This is the team with a lasting experience in the rally world. They've won their first rallycross by using the WRC platform. It had Liam Doran as a driver at X Games Munich in 2013.
According to the director of Prodrive, David Richards, they've always wanted to compete in the FIA World Rallycross Championship. It's the place where they're able to present and use all of their engineering experience. As a capable and skilled driver, Guerlain might be the perfect man for the job - driving and showing the world their new Renault.
Chicherit was a Free Skiing World Champion in the Junior World Rally Championship with a Citroen Saxo in 2004. He also had the best results at the Dakar rally in 2010 with an X-Raid BMW.
Chicherit has stated that he enjoys working with Prodrive as he trusts this company 100% and he would be glad to be a part of the 2018 championship.
