Prices For The Wiesmann Project Thunderball EV Start At €300,000

While details regarding Wiesmann Project Thunderball have been leaking out for months, the exact launch date is unknown. Still, Wiesmann is currently accepting orders for the EV, so its release date is likely approaching.

Wiesmann uses a water-glycol mix for cooling, and a custom Battery Management System lets engineers adjust the battery for optimum performance under all circumstances. It can be rapidly charged at 300 kilowatts because of its 800-volt construction.

The vehicle's carbon-fiber body keeps its weight to a little over 3,747 pounds. The drivetrain can send 680 hp and 811 lb-ft of torque to the back wheels. With this setup, the Wiesmann Project Thunderball can reach 62 mph in under 2.9 seconds, according to the manufacturer. There are paddle shifters located on the steering wheel that allow the driver to choose one of five regenerative braking modes.

Wiesmann's Gecko plant in Germany will be responsible for assembly. The Wiesmann Project Thunderball has been available for preorder since September, but the company has not revealed when it will go on sale.
