Porsche's Sonderwunsch personalization program has just unveiled another unique creation, showcased at the Icons of Porsche Festival in Dubai. This one-off model pays tribute to the first-ever 911 Turbo, known as "911 Turbo Nr. 1," produced in 1974 as a 70th birthday gift for Louise Piech, daughter of Ferdinand Porsche.

The original "911 Turbo Nr. 1" featured a narrow-chassis body from the 911 Carrera, unlike subsequent models, and introduced the iconic Turbo rear wing. Finished in silver paint with black and red "Porsche" lettering down the side, it also had a red interior with Tartan fabric seat inserts.

The modern version created by Sonderwunsch mirrors the silver paint finish and "Porsche" lettering in the same style as the original, making it a perfect celebration for the 911's 60th anniversary and Porsche's 75th.

Manfred Bräunl, CEO of Porsche Middle East and Africa, noted, "This very special car is not only a showcase of what is possible with our Porsche personalization programs but also highlights the brave and pioneering Porsche spirit."

Patrick Gallas, manager of Porsche Exclusive Manufaktur for the region, mentioned, “We elected to remaster one of the greatest icons of them all—the original 911 Turbo that belonged to Louise Piech.” In addition to this unique 911, Porsche set another record at the festival with a giant inflatable first-generation 911, earning the title of the "largest inflatable vehicle" on earth according to Guinness World Records.

The festival also marked the local debuts of several Porsche models, including the third-generation Panamera, the 718 Spyder RS, and the Vision 357 Speedster concept, along with the Mission X hypercar, the 911 S/T, and a selection of classic Porsches. The event drew in 27,000 fans in total.
