Sim racing has the advantage of allowing all types of individuals to experience the excitement of racing at a relatively low cost. It doesn't mean you can't spend outrageous amounts of money if you want to. At RM Sotheby's St. Moritz, Switzerland auction, this Pininfarina Leggenda eClassic simulator is being sold without reserve.

For a price that is comparable to that of a real classic car, Pininfarina has developed a simulator with The Classic Car Trust to "recreate the experience of driving a classic collector car". In Cambiano, Italy, the famed coachbuilder's facility is handcrafting 9 of them.

Pininfarina Leggenda

Pininfarina Leggenda eClassic simulator is inspired by the Cisitalia 202, a two-seat grand tourer designed by Battista "Pinin" Farina in the 1940s. It's got an antique Hanhart chronometer in the dash and a genuine Nardi wooden steering wheel. Furthermore, a starter button can be found on the dashboard, which is covered in Marrone Tobacco Connolly leatherette, along with the seat.

The small body, painted in Argento Vivo, has a single seat and a curved display for sim racing. When you buy this kit, you also get three years of membership to The eClassic Club, an online forum of collector automobile fans. Also included in this Pininfarina Leggenda eClassic simulator are training and events, as well as informal group drives and mentoring sessions.

That said, it's the anticipated price tag of between 120,000 and 150,000 Swiss Francs ($130,469-$163,087) that's most impressive. On September 17, Pininfarina Leggenda eClassic simulator will be auctioned.
