The new C63 V8 Final Edition from Performmaster glorifies Mercedes-AMG’s 4.0-liter twin-turbocharged V8.
Since its introduction in 2015, Mercedes-Benz’s 4.0-liter twin-turbocharged V8 has been used to power a variety of Mercedes vehicles under the M176, M177, and M178 designations.

These include vehicles with non-AMG badges such as the Mercedes-Maybach S 580 4Matic, GLE 580, G 500, and S 650 Coupe and Cabriolet. However, it is perhaps most known for its use in the C 63, E 63, S 63, GT 63, G 63, GLC 63, GLS 63, and all AMG GT vehicles, as well as the Aston Martin Vantage and DBX.

This engine will be replaced with a 2.0-liter turbocharged four-cylinder and an electric engine in the next-generation C 63. To salute the V8, Performmaster has introduced its last W205-generation C63 version. The tuned V8 now produces 612 horsepower and 620 pound-feet of torque, an increase of 102 horsepower and 103 pound-feet over the regular C 63 S. This extra power allows the vehicle to reach 62 mph in 3.8 seconds, 0.2 seconds faster than a regular car. Its peak speed is now an astonishing 192 miles per hour.

Several cosmetic modifications have also been made. The vehicle now features an expanded front splitter, a modified front grille, distinguishable side skirts, a prominent diffuser, and a lip spoiler. There's no word from Mercedes-AMG on when it plans to phase out its 4.0 liter twin-turbo V8 engine.
