Pagani Imola Roadster: A Limited Edition Convertible That Marries Performance with Open-Air Luxury

Pagani just lifted the veil on its latest engineering marvel, the Imola Roadster, and it's everything we expected and more. This convertible is the open-top variant of the Imola, a hypercar that pays homage to the esteemed Italian racetrack, reimagined for the open road with just eight units in production.

The transformation from the 2020 Imola coupe to the current Roadster has been a three-year journey of merging intense track capability with the thrill of open-air driving, taking cues from the technology-forward Huayra Roadster BC.

Under the hood, the Roadster boasts a fierce Mercedes-AMG 6.0-liter V12 engine, fine-tuned by Pagani to unleash 840 HP and 811 lb-ft of torque, with a top speed of 217 mph, all channeled through a precise 7-speed Xtrac sequential transmission.

Pagani's designers reworked the body to accommodate increased cooling demands, integrating sleek air outlets along the body and expanding the front intakes. These not only serve aerodynamic performance by increasing stability and reducing pressure but also channel cooling air to the rear aero elements and brakes, bolstering grip with additional downforce.

The Roadster's pronounced air scoop, a striking feature above the seats, not only directs air to the powerplant but also harmonizes with the rear fenders to aid in high-speed stability.

Pagani claims the Roadster's meticulously crafted lines generate 1,378 lbs of downforce at 174 mph, promising lateral and braking forces of up to 2.2g — a testament to its track-bred DNA.

Composed of a Carbo-Titanium HP62-G2 and Carbo-Triax HP62 chassis and finished with Acquarello Light paint, which shaves off an additional 11 lbs, the Imola Roadster tips the scales at about 2777 lbs.

Augmenting its dynamism, the Roadster is fitted with four advanced active aero flaps and an intelligent suspension system designed to optimize handling and minimize body roll, squat, and dive.

Inside, drivers can expect a sensory feast with meticulously detailed interiors featuring finely embossed leather and Carbo-wood trim. A seven-channel audio system with imposing speakers ensures an immersive sound experience.

While Pagani has not disclosed the exact price, the exclusivity and limited production run suggest a multi-million dollar figure. Yet, with only eight units crafted, the Imola Roadster's value is expected to be as enduring as its allure.
