Pablo Escobar's 1974 Porsche 911 Carrera 3.0 RSR Is Now For Sale

An online auction for this one-of-a-kind 1974 Porsche 911 Carrera 3.0 RSR might fetch over $1 million.
Emerson Fittipaldi, two-time Indy winner and two-time Formula One champ, piloted this 911 in the 1974 International Race of Champions (IROC).
The car was quickly sold to Roger Penske, who in turn sold it to privateer racers, John Tunstall and Charlie Kemp.
The two raced the car at Lime Rock Park, Talladega, Road Atlanta, Mid-Ohio, Road America, and Mid-America between 1974 and 1978.
It also participated in the 24 Hours of Daytona and the 12 Hours of Sebring, finishing 23rd in both events. The one-of-a-kind Porsche Carrera 3.0 RSR was eventually sold to Colombian drug lord Pablo Escobar, who had it customized with 935 bodywork and raced it in numerous events.
This 1974 Porsche 911 Carrera 3.0 RSR was returned to the United States after Escobar's death, according to the Collecting Cars listing, and was transformed to return to its previous bodywork with the same livery as when Fittipaldi drove it. It comes with a huge rear spoiler, matte black headlight covers, quick-release hood catches, and an external fire extinguisher switch, etc. Between 2007 and 2010, the car was completely restored, and it has subsequently won numerous trophies.
