Oracle Founder Larry Ellison Hails Tesla Cybertruck as the Future of Police Cars

Larry Ellison, founder of technology behemoth Oracle and a stakeholder in Tesla, sees the upcoming Tesla Cybertruck as the future of police vehicles. During a keynote address focused on Oracle’s long-term vision, Ellison elaborated on how Tesla's Cybertruck could revolutionize the law enforcement sector through cutting-edge technology.

Oracle has previously ventured into the emergency vehicle domain and has already launched its inaugural police car. Ellison spoke about the potential safety benefits for law enforcement officers by adopting Tesla’s advanced vehicle technology. One notable feature he highlighted was a "Tesla-like" touchscreen that could understand voice commands for essential police functions. Ellison also noted that officers could access live feeds from body cameras of officers already at the scene while on the way to an emergency.

“Tesla's Cybertruck is not just my favorite police car; it’s actually my favorite car,” Ellison said. He emphasized the Cybertruck’s safety features, its speed, and its stainless steel body. A particular advantage Ellison pointed out was the ability to integrate Oracle’s technology into Tesla’s existing infrastructure, eliminating the need for additional cameras.

While the much-touted "bulletproof" windows have yet to be confirmed for the production version, they could provide an added layer of safety for law enforcement. Oracle has already utilized some of its technology in existing Tesla police cars, further emphasizing the practicality of electric vehicles in a police fleet setting.

Larry Ellison, a close associate of Tesla CEO Elon Musk, suggested that his insider knowledge makes him confident about the Cybertruck's potential role in law enforcement.
