Only 250 Built: Hennessey VelociRaptor 1200 Marks America’s 250th Anniversary

When it comes to turning already massive trucks into jaw-dropping statements of power and personality, few do it quite like Hennessey. They’ve built their name on taking already big, serious trucks and turning them into something borderline ridiculous.
To celebrate 250 years of American independence, Hennessey went big. They built a special F-250 called the VelociRaptor 1200, and only 250 will be made.

Under the hood is Ford’s 6.7-liter turbodiesel V8. It’s not tuned or reworked, just left as is. 500 horsepower and 1,200 lb-ft of torque are already more than most people know what to do with. That torque number is exactly where the “1200” comes from. Simple, honest, and very Hennessey.

From there, things get loud. The truck sits five inches higher thanks to a proper suspension lift, rides on Fox 2.5 coilovers, and wears massive 37-inch tires. It’s the kind of setup that makes speed bumps feel optional, and parking lots feel small.

The stock bumpers are gone, replaced with serious steel ones, and carbon fiber shows up in all the right places - hood vents, fender flares, mirror caps, and even across the tailgate. Add a huge LED light bar, new fog lights, and glowing running boards, and this thing basically announces itself before you see it.

Inside, it’s cleaned up but still tough. Black leather, Alcantara, WeatherTech mats, and a numbered plaque with an American flag because, well, of course there is.

The whole package costs $54,500 on top of the truck. With an F-250 Lariat, you’re north of $117,000 before taxes. Is it expensive? Absolutely. But nobody shopping for this is pretending to be practical. They want something outrageous, and this delivers exactly that - with a warranty, no less.
