Six units of Nissan Leaf will start working as a taxi a few weeks after the US authorities will install three fast charging stations in Manhattan.
Thus, a load of 80% of the car about 30 minutes will be provided by plants; however, the drivers will have to mount a charger at home, or in some cases in the company garage.
The program of the municipality and the Japanese automaker aims to collect data on the integration of electric vehicles in taxi fleets, because in the next few years to develop the infrastructure of this type of transport, as to become an effective solution against environmental pollution.
