If Renault Master is not French enough for your blood, maybe Nissan Interstar can change that.
Getting ready to be launched in Europe by the end of the year - the redesigned truck sports a bold new look thanks to a wide grille that is flanked by C-shaped lighting units.

While the truck seems as boxy as ever, Nissan claimed that the model has a top aerodynamic and a 20% drop of drag. The reduction has its practical benefits as it helps improve fuel efficiency on ICE-powered variants as well as the range of the new EV.

Alongside, the variety is the world’s salt, and so there will be a “wide range of factory-built conversions, including Box Van, Tipper, and Dropside.

Nissan declared that a 5.512 lbs towing capacity is expected along with a 4.409 lbs payload capacity on ICE variants.

The brand didn’t provide any details regarding the interior, but it is expected to resemble its French counterpart. On that note, a new steering wheel breaks the ice, along with the new “still expected” durable seat covers and a heated windshield and seats.

The big news is the introduction of the EV Interstar-e model, which rocks an 87 kWh battery pack that fires a range of 286 miles.

As the Interstar was originally meant for inner-city driving, the company puts forward a 40 kWh battery pack. It promises to make the vehicle more affordable; however, the range will be reduced to approximately 124 miles.

Nissan is offering a 2.0-liter turbodiesel, - the engine bragging about its class-leading fuel efficiency. It is set to be paired with a nine-speed automatic transmission.

We expect to get our hands on more information about the details in a few months. Meanwhile, Nissan teases us with “greatly improved” maneuverability as the turning diameter has been reduced by 4.9 feet

The carmaker also mentioned that the model will be equipped with Drowsiness Warning, Trailer Sway Assist, and Forward Emergency Braking.
