New Skoda Superb Sportline Brings Lowered Suspension And Premium Tech

Skoda has spiced up the Superb lineup with a new Sportline trim. Available in both Hatchback and Combi estate versions, the Sportline brings a sporty touch to the lineup with some design tweaks, new wheels, a lowered suspension, and a ton of new features.

However, it still sticks with the standard engines, so if you’re waiting for the more powerful Superb RS, you’ll have to hold on a little longer.

The Sportline offers a sportier alternative to the high-end Laurin & Klement trim without skimping on any of the premium features. So, what makes the Superb Sportline stand out? For starters, it’s got a blacked out bumper extension, side skirts, and a diffuser. Forget chrome—this version opts for metallic black trim, dark-tinted windows, and those signature Sportline badges.

If you want to upgrade the look even more, you can swap out the standard 18-inch anthracite wheels for 19-inch Torcular alloys or Aniara wheels with aero covers. The LED headlights and taillights have dynamic indicators and use Matrix beam tech, which adds a modern touch. Inside, the sporty vibe continues. The seats are heated, ventilated, and designed with ergonomics in mind—you can even add a massage function.

Microsuede and faux leather, a black roof liner, and carbon-style accents on the door panels and dashboard adorn the interior. Stainless steel pedals and a Sportline badge on the steering wheel top it off. The Superb Sportline boasts a fully loaded tech package. There’s a 13-inch infotainment system, ambient lighting, a 10-inch virtual cockpit with custom graphics, and laminated glass for a quieter cabin. The upgraded Skoda Superb Sportline rides on a sports chassis that sits 15 mm lower than the standard model.

It also comes with progressive steering and an optional dynamic chassis control system, making it a thrill to drive. When it comes to engines, you’ve got some solid choices. The base 1.5 eTSI mHEV and 2.0 TDi diesel engines offer 148 horsepower, while the 2.0 TSI gasoline engine brings it up to 261 horsepower. And if you’re craving even more power, there’s talk of a future Superb RS with a plug-in hybrid system.
