Skoda has introduced a new body type for its all-electric SUV, the Enyaq iV, called the Enyaq Coupe iV. The new model, which features a coupe-style roof, also contributes to the lineup's performance by bringing the automaker's athletic RS (or vRS, as it's called in the UK) badge to its electric crossover range.

The new Skoda Enyaq Coupe iV, which is built on the MEB platform and comes in three trim levels, has a raked roof that improves aerodynamic efficiency. It has a drag coefficient of 0.234 for the EV, which is better than the conventional model. It has a longer range when combined with the vehicle's reduced weight.

The 82kWh (77kWh net) battery in the RWD Enyaq Coupe iV 80 enables the driver to go up to 339 miles (545 km) per charge on the WLTP test cycle, up from 330 miles (531 km) in the Enyaq iV 80. It has a single 201 hp (204 PS/150 kW) engine. A second electric motor powers all four wheels on both the Enyaq Coupe iV 80x and the Enyaq Coupe iV vRS (or RS).

Those engines provide 261 hp (265 PS/195 kW) in the Enyaq Coupe iV 80x. The RS trim, on the other hand, can produce up to 295 hp (299 PS/220 kW) and 339 lb-ft (460 Nm) of torque, allowing the car to reach 62 mph (100 km/h) in only 6.5 seconds and a peak speed of 111 mph (179 km/h).

To maximize performance, the Enyaq Coupe iV SportLine is equipped with an adapted sports chassis, as is the powerful RS variant pictured below. As a result, they're 10 mm (0.4-inch) lower in the rear and 15 mm (0.5-inch) lower up front compared to the normal model.

Standard 20-inch wheels are supplied for both models, but a 21-inch wheel option is also available. Around the grille, the window, and the back diffusor, they've added gloss black accents. The rear bumper of the Enyaq Coupe iV vRS features a full-length red reflector like all other vRS variants. There is a panoramic glass roof that covers the whole top of all trim levels, blending smoothly with a back window. Passengers will have extra headroom because the roof is thinner than the regular one.

The inside of the regular car is made entirely of recycled materials, however, the SportLine variant has a stylish dark interior. Sport-style seats with black perforated leather and complementing piping are available on the vRS variant. All variants include a 5.3-inch instrument display and a 13-inch touchscreen in the center.

Customers in the UK will be able to place their orders for the Skoda Enyaq Coupe iV as early as next month. Regrettably, there's no word on pricing just yet.
