With prices starting at £26,960 OTR, 2021 Honda HR-V e:HEV will hit mainland European showrooms by the end of the year, with the U.K. following in early 2022. New images of the crossover's inside and exterior have been revealed by Honda to whet the public's appetite for more information.

The e:HEV label stands for "hybrid electric vehicle," which means the new 2021 Honda HR-V will join the CR-V and Jazz as Honda's mainstream hybrid choices in Europe. A 1.5-liter DOHC i-VTEC gasoline engine and an electric engine combine to produce 129 hp (131 PS/96 kW) and 187 lb-ft (253 Nm) of torque.

The all-new 2021 Honda can reach 62 mph (100 km/h) in 10.6 seconds thanks to electric help. It runs largely on engine power on the highway, but when the drivetrain is called upon for more, such as in an overtaking move, the electric engines come in, providing a burst of torque to help you overtake the slower vehicle. More importantly, it can achieve 43.5 mpg (5.4 l/100km) on the WLTP test cycle.

The new HR-V also has more rear legroom, reclining capacity, and shoulder room than its predecessor. The crossover offers 11.2 sq ft (319 liters) of trunk space with the rear seats up and 46 sq ft (1,305 liters) with them folded, according to Honda.

Meanwhile, sophisticated networking technology keeps travelers informed. The SUV can serve as a WiFi hotspot, and the My Honda+ app is being enhanced to enhance the customer experience. The 2021 Honda HR-V comes standard with Honda's SENSING safety technology, which includes automatic high beams and blind-spot monitoring.
