The Power Hybrid and Warranty Extension Hybrid plans aim to maintain the performance and excellence of hybrid Ferrari sports cars over time. Generally, they ensure that owners can drive their Ferraris without facing astronomical repair costs.
Customers who choose the Warranty Extension Hybrid program and extend the warranty to the eighth year of ownership will receive high-voltage battery pack replacements at no additional cost, according to the business, which did not disclose prices. Customers who wish to maintain their vehicles for an extended period can opt for the Power Hybrid plan.
It includes an extension of the factory warranty that covers "all major powertrain components, including those related to the hybrid system, from year 8 to year 16, and again foresees the replacement, at no extra cost, of the high-voltage battery pack in year 16."
It's interesting to note that owners might receive a more advanced battery pack. According to Ferrari, "the replacement high-voltage battery will be a new, state-of-the-art component" in the event that battery technology advances further.
Owners may activate a warranty at any authorized Ferrari dealer. Even automobiles no longer covered by the factory guarantee are eligible. However, a "technical inspection" by the Ferrari dealership staff is necessary. The warranty may end up costing about $7,500 (€7,000) each year, according to previous estimates.
