New Details On Suzuki Jimny And Grand Vitara!

Suzuki has once again confirmed that the company hasn't abandoned the plans to produce new generations of Suzuki Jimny and Grand Vitara. However, judging by all that has become known so far, the premieres will not hit the market any time soon.
The general director of the Russian Suzuki office, Keichi Sumida, has confirmed that the company is developing new generations of Jimny and Grand Vitara.
The new Grand Vitara will be slightly larger than the previous generation and will keep the downshift. However, the premiere will not occur any time soon. It is expected that the third generation of Suzuki Grand Vitara will be released only in 2018.
The new Jimny will preserve an off-road transmission with a de-multiplier and a frame structure. In addition, it is expected for the new model to come with a more comfortable salon. The current model does not have a modern audio system, not even an adjustment of the steering column.
Previously, the media has reported about the plans of Suzuki to upgrade Jimny and Grand Vitara. By the way, the first model was released almost 19 years ago, while the Grand Vitara is slightly younger, the model being produced for 12 years. According to unofficial information, the premiere of the new Jimny may take place in April at the Shanghai Motor Show.
