New Audi Q4 E-Tron Models Get AWD And Extended Range

Audi has introduced 2 new all-electric Q4 e-tron versions to its portfolio, both of which come with all-wheel drive and a bit more endurance.

Q4 Sportback 40 e-tron now has the longest range of any Q4, with a radius of 534 km (331 miles) based on the WLTP test cycle. It is the Audi lineup's longest-range EV, not just the lengthiest Q4. It has 201 hp (204 PS/150 kW) to operate with thanks to a single electric engine at the rear axle.

In contrast, Q4 45 e-tron quattro has electric engines on both axles. They provide a total of 261 hp (265 PS/195 kW), enough to propel the tiny SUV from 0 to 60 mph (100 km/h) in 6.9 secs and on to a max speed of 111 mph (180 km/h).

The Q4 e-tron is Audi's tiniest electric vehicle, and it's built on the MEB chassis, which is used by Volkswagen for brands like Skoda, SEAT, and VW in models like the ID.3 and ID.4. However, with an available 11.6-inch infotainment system and a 10.25-inch digital instrument panel, the Q4 brings Audi premium cues.

Audi and Volkswagen tried to keep emission levels as minimal as possible during the construction process on the Q4 e-tron, which was built in Zwickau at a plant that only uses green energy.

In Germany, Q4 Sportback 40 e-tron sells at €49,500 ($58,846), whereas Q4 45 e-tron quattro costs €50,900 ($60,510).
