New 2025 BMW X3: Power, Style, And Innovation In An Electric SUV

Next year, BMW will unveil the iX3, an electric SUV that will revolutionize the industry. It has BMW's next-gen architecture for the first time. Interestingly, BMW will offer the 2025 iX3 for sale alongside the combustion X3. To start with, the 2025 X3 borrows stylistic cues from the 2022 smaller X1.

The dimensions of the new model—length, breadth, and height—have undergone modifications that significantly enhance its attitude.

The brand's new SUVs have a grille design that incorporates diagonal and vertical bars. You get 20-inch M alloys, a M Sport rear differential, adjustable dampers as standard equipment, and quad exhaust tailpipes. In particular, the 3.0 liter inline six has an additional 48 mild-hybrid system that increases its power output from 382 horsepower and 369 lb-ft in the outgoing M40i to 428 lb-ft.

Even the more cheap xDrive 30 doesn't improve upon the original M-lite model's 4.4-second zero-to-60 mph  performance, according to BMW. Increased horsepower from 248 to 255 and an additional 37 lb-ft of torque bring the total to 295 lb-ft thanks to mild-hybrid technology implemented into its 2.0-liter inline four.

Despite the fact that the new BMW X3 isn't much faster than the previous one, BMW claims it makes better use of curves because of its 27 extra pounds. However, the two vehicles match each other in a sprint to 60 mph, clocking in at 6.0 seconds. The lower ride height, wider back track, stronger body construction, and various geometry adjustments make both models more stable and precise to steer.

The X3 now has BMW's signature curving dashboard display, infotainment touchscreen, and instrument cluster. The automaker's OS9 technology enables over-the-air upgrades and provides users with access to streaming media applications, news, augmented reality navigation, in-car gaming, and more. The $49,500 xDrive 30 has slightly increased in price by $600. Meanwhile, at $64,100, the M50 is $2,220 more expensive than the M40i.
