N Vision 74 Production Confirmed: Hyundai’s Retro-Inspired Electric Beast Hits The Road

Hyundai has made it official: the N Vision 74 concept will go into production. This electric performance model is one of twenty-one that the South Korean manufacturer intends to release by the year 2030.

The N Vision 74, which debuted in the summer of 2022, was popular because of its design, which was reminiscent of the 1970s. Named after Hyundai's first concept car, the Pony, which debuted that year, the 74 is a nod to its design.

A short time later, the Pony became the first production model of the brand, signifying the historic launch of the South Korean carmaker.

At an investor presentation, Hyundai formally verified the reports that it will produce a production version of the N Vision 74. Adding to Hyundai's anticipated wave of electrification by the decade's end, the next production model will be a peak-performance electric vehicle.

Conceptually, the N Vision 74 has an electric powertrain that produces 680 horsepower and 900 Newton meters of torque; however, Hyundai has not yet disclosed the production version's technical specs. Featuring torque vectoring technology and boasting a range of over 600 kilometers, this concept guarantees exceptional performance.

Last winter, rumors started to circulate about the possibility of producing the next model in a limited run of only 100 pieces. The company plans to sell seventy of these models, and reserve thirty for use in upcoming races. One other option may be to launch a version that runs on hydrogen.

While Hyundai has been mum on when exactly the N Vision 74 production version will be available for purchase, a reliable South Korean source has hinted that work might begin in 2026.
