Zagato presented at the end of the last week at the Contest of Elegance from Villa d'Este a model called Mostro.

The car has a V8 engine of Maserati origin and will be manufactured in a limited series at five units and celebrates the centenary of the Italian brand. The new brand Maserati Zagato Mostro celebrates its centenary and it is called after a model built by this coachbuilder in 1957 and was nicknamed "il Mostro".

More specifically, we're talking about a homage brought to Maserati 450S Zagato Coupe, designed in 1957 and led by Sir Stirling Moss at the 24 Hours race from Le Mans. The modern Interpretation of "il Mostro" has a V8 engine of 4.2 liter Maserati origin and a carbon-fiber body.

Zagato Mostro has a double suspension with "A" for all wheels, inspired by motorsport, and is eligible for driving on public roads. Italians equipped the Mostro with 19-inch alloy wheels and a manual robot transmission. Mostro's creators did not specify any technical detail about their new creation and provided no specification in terms of dynamic performance.

The Italian coachbuilder Zagato will produce only five copies of Mostro, each of them is already reserved for a client. All units will be delivered by the end of this year and the customers of the model have not been specified. Italians from Zagato are not at the first collaboration with a manufacturer of supercars to make a limited number of models and trade, having in the past two years collaboration with Aston Martin and Lamborghini.
