Most nervous mass produced VW Golf R Variant seen in LA

It has 300 horsepower and is the first production model from Volkswagen on Variant body shape, so it is a double premiere!

Besides the injection of horsepower, the Golf R variant has a more aggressive look, it is equipped with everything from range R design, is a more massive front bumper with air vents, a new grille, embedded air diffuser on the rear bumper, LED taillights, four chrome tailpipes and even lighted plates!

On the inside, the new Volkswagen Golf R Variant is equipped with sports seats upholstered in Alcantara leather combined with contrasting seams in "crystal gray". The package also includes mood lighting, an infotainment system, an air conditioner, and an optional Nappa Carbon package, ie a different combination of Nappa leather with carbon fiber inserts.

Under the hood, we have the 2.0-liter TSI engine producing 300 horsepower and 380 Nm, as much as the Golf R hatchback can provide. All power is transmitted to the all-wheel-drive system via an automatic six-speed transmission with a double-clutch for a sprint from zero to 100km/h in 5.1 seconds. The Germans want to convince us that it may continue to be operated as a family car, consuming only 7.0 liters consumption in mixed mode!

Sales will begin this spring and the first orders could be honored already at the beginning of the summer season.
