Morgan Just Built Its Most Powerful Car Ever
by AutoExpert | 23 April, 2026
Morgan just dropped its most powerful car yet, the Supersport 400. And yeah, it sticks to what Morgan does best, just with a bit more punch.
It runs BMW’s 3.0 straight-six, same family as the GR Supra. Here it makes 402 bhp. In a car this light, that’s more than enough. It’ll do 0 to 100 km/h in 3.6 seconds, which is quick, but that’s not really the point of it.

It’s rear-wheel drive, paired with an 8-speed auto. If you care about driving feel, you can spec a limited-slip diff, which you probably should.
The chassis got some proper upgrades. New suspension setup, adjustable Nitron dampers with 24 settings, and Michelin Pilot Sport 5 tires. You can tweak it depending on the road, but you’ll be doing it yourself. No fancy presets.

Looks haven’t changed much, but they didn’t need to. Small tweaks like new vents on the front fenders and an active exhaust. That’s about it. Bronze wheels are optional and actually suit it.
Inside, it’s classic Morgan. Simple, a bit old-school, but not outdated. You’ve got modern tech hidden underneath, plus options like Alcantara, custom stitching, and a nicer aluminum gear selector if the standard one annoys you.

Price starts at just over £112k before tax, closer to £135k in the UK. Builds start next month in Malvern, and every car is put together by hand.
That’s the whole thing with this car. It’s not chasing numbers or trends. It’s just a fast, lightweight, rear-drive roadster you can spec how you like. If that clicks with you, nothing else really replaces it.
