Hold onto your seats, folks! Mini has unveiled its largest crossover to date—the new Countryman—and it brings both sustainability and fun to the family of Mini vehicles.

Engine Variants and Driving Experience

The Countryman comes in two key variants:

  1. The Countryman E and SE ALL4: With 201 HP, 84 lb-ft of torque, and 0-62 mph in 8.6 seconds, it’s an agile performer. It also offers a top speed of 106 mph.
  2. The Dual-Motor SE ALL4: This one brings even more punch with 308 HP and 364 lb-ft of torque, clocking 0-62 mph in just 5.8 seconds with a top speed of 112 mph.

Thanks to Mini's finely tuned damping system and preloaded stabilizers, the Countryman promises an accurate and delightful driving experience. An optional Adaptive Suspension system lets you lower the car by 0.6 inches for a sportier feel or a plush ride.

Countryman

Charging Capabilities

The Countryman gets a commendable 22 kW AC charging speed. It also supports DC fast charging, allowing you to charge the battery from 10% to 80% in just 30 minutes.

Countryman

Interior and Comfort

Mini places a premium on sustainability; the interior features textile made from recycled polyester. In terms of roominess, there’s an additional 1.18 inches of space for shoulders and elbows up front and an extra inch for the backseats. The backseats can be moved to increase either storage or legroom. Optional features include a glass roof and sports seats with massage functions.

Countryman

Trims and Technology

You can choose from four different trims: Essential, Classic, Favoured, and JCW. Each trim offers unique design elements and customizability. The Countryman is also decked out with a new Intelligent Personal Assistant, featuring advanced voice recognition for controlling various functions like navigation and smartphone connectivity.

Countryman

Safety and Semi-Automation

For those concerned with safety, the Countryman offers semi-automated Level 2 driving under certain conditions. When taking an exit, the vehicle uses its sensors to find gaps in the traffic and performs a lane change. It can also operate semi-autonomously at speeds up to 37 mph.

Countryman

Pricing and Availability

Though pricing has not been disclosed, it's expected to exceed the current model's starting price of $32,650 USD. The new Countryman is slated to arrive in America next year.
