Mini Hints At Off-Road Adventure: Could A Rally-Inspired Countryman Be On The Horizon?

Michael Petyon, VP of Mini of the Americas, recently told CarBuzz that an off-road Countryman may be on the way. Not quite a confirmation, but it does seem that Mini is considering an alternative for those who want to avoid the crowds.

Because of the brand's extensive background in stage rallying, an off-road Countryman may take the form of a racer if it ever materializes. The first Cooper was a huge hit when rallying first began, and in 2011, Mini's Countryman made a short appearance in the World Rally Championship.
