Mini Celebrates 60 years On The Market By Remastering The Oselli Edition

The Mini history began way back when its vehicles were built by the British Motor Corporation and sold with an Austin or Morris badge. The brand was taken to another level after racing legend John Cooper used his engineering skills to turn the brand into a global icon.

This year, David Brown Automotive celebrates the vehicle’s 60th anniversary with a limited run of 60 remastered specials. The A-series 1,450-cc inline-four engine was tuned by Oselli Engineering becoming a beasty with 125 horsepower. Oselli is an expert who is accustomed to driving force in classic car performance and tuning the fabulous A-series engines since the ‘60s.

Also, there is a joint strike force of other performance upgrades to support the extra power. The tuner opted for a limited-slip differential to maximize its traction and minimize the wheelspin on the front axle. The celebratory vehicle also got high-performance AP Racing brakes, fully adjustable Bilstein springs, and dampers, riding on larger 13-inch wheels wrapped with super sticky tires.

For more awareness, the Formula 1 reserve driver Jack Aitken is the brand ambassador to promote the vehicle’s performance, simply because his ownership shows a classic Mini as his first car. For more comfort, the potential buyers could choose between a two- or four-seat layout.

The two-seater brings along bucket seats with a roll cage and four-point harnesses and these are road-legal cars. Meanwhile, the future Minis owners can even choose between twin fuel tanks for longer road trips or endurance racing events and right- or left-hand drive. More details should be found on the application.
