In honor of the most popular E-Class Mercedes-Benz has ever built and brought to the V8, the Germans mark 25 years since the construction of the first Mercedes E 500.
The Sport sedan debuted in 1990 at the Frankfurt Motor Show being highly appreciated by fans of the brand and the local public. Mercedes-Benz E 500 asks for the services of a monstrous V8 with a 5.0 liter volume, the rear wheels capable of delivering around 326 horsepower. Connected to the four-speed automatic transmission, this car catapults from zero to the first hundred in just 6.1 seconds, and with the pedal to the floor could reach a maximum speed of 250 kmph, electronically limited since those days!
Unfortunately, the car is successful only in the dreams of enthusiasts and posters from magazines, the sedan being less accessible for everyone. The price starts at 134,520 German marks, more than double the 300's version.
Good to know that the Mercedes-Benz E 500 has been designed and built by the engineers from Porsche, and the latter, moreover, were concerned and final assembly of the car.
