Mercedes-Benz has started the production of the new S-Class!

Willi Reiss, the head of the Mercedes factory in Sindelfingen, said: "We are very proud that the production of S-Class will be reserved to us exclusively." The Mercedes-Benz has invested a lot, not only in the research department of its new flagship, but also in the Sindelfingen factory, designated to meet the production.

According to some sources, the Germans have invested not less than one billion euros to prepare the assembly line of the new S-Class - in 2011-2013; they invested 350 million in the body division, 130 million in the Press workshop and another 70 million in the assembly. With the new investment, the Mercedes managed to reduce the costs, the amount of energy required for each use car being lower by 20%.

The production of the new S-Class generation was launched this week in Sindelfingen, expecting the assembly line to produce another three new models in addition to already announced versions: the standard one, the long wheelbase one and the S-Class Coupe. The German factory will produce exclusively all of them.
