Chevrolet Chevelle Super Sport is now available for purchase once again, although in a somewhat modified form. With more than 1,500 horsepower, a manual gearbox, and enough nostalgia in its look to suit anybody missing the '70s, Trans Am Worldwide debuted the Chevrolet 70/SS.

According to Tod Warmack, co-founder of Trans Am Worldwide, the 70/SS was in development for seven years. The special edition kicks off with the engine and other internal components.

The Trans Am Worldwide 70/SS comes in three different trim levels. The basic model has a 6.2-liter, 450-horsepower V-8 engine made by General Motors. The mid-level automobiles will be powered by a Magnuson supercharged 396 V-8 engine with an unknown output.

The top-of-the-line vehicles, of which only 25 will be built, will have Tran Am Worldwide's LS6/X 454 V-8 motor with 1,500+ horsepower and rear-wheel drive. Retro styling is carried over to the exterior with circular quad LED headlights, horizontal triple-stack LED taillights and dual exhaust.

Additionally, there are two stripes down the length of the convertible. The soft top of the Camaro has been preserved and is designed to work well with the rest of the vehicle.

The interior is almost exactly the same as the one found in the Chevrolet Camaro, with the exception of a few recolored trim parts, a Hurst shifter, restored leather seats, and a steering wheel that appears to have been taken from the C7 Corvette. The price of the Trans Am Worldwide 70/SS starts at $150,000 and may go much higher depending on the configuration and options you choose.
