Meet The New Large Luxury SUV Dubbed Ford Equator In Purple

2021 is a great year for the large luxurious SUVs and the main attractions are the three-row seat SUVs.  The joining venture on SAIC Motor results in beautiful projects developed especially for the Chinese market. After Volkswagen announced the official launch of the announcing its Talagon, now Ford is planning to show off the Equator.

The Equator concept is targeted solely at the Chinese market and is the future competitor for the Toyota Highlander and Jeep Grand Commander. This six-seated SUV has 193 inches in length, 76 inches wide, and 69.1 inches in height, and a 112.8-inch-long wheelbase, this concept is larger than the previous Ford Edge but still smaller than the Explorer.  

Despite looking like Ford's current SUV lineup, Equator stands out with its distinctive split headlights with L-shaped LED daytime running lights and the prominent grille with black and chrome elements. The skid plates at the front shape a rugged. Also, the split LED taillights are connected by a rear light bar decorate the rear along with a faux silver diffuser and the prominent dual exhaust tips.

Equator's interior is showing luxurious wood trim and features unique electrically adjustable six seats and the feature includes the captain seats in the second row. Let us remind you that a car painted in purple shining color is rare on the market, but Chinese customers are welcoming it.
