Silence, a Spanish e-scooter manufacturer, unveiled the S04, the company's first fully-electric quadricycle, to go along with its S01, S02, and S03 models. Silence S04 four-wheeler, like the previously mentioned two- and three-wheelers, makes use of detachable and interchangeable batteries, making it an excellent option for low or no-emission city transportation.

The S04's small footprint makes parking and maneuvering on city streets a breeze. Elegant LED headlights and black plastic coating on fenders and bumpers contribute to the modern appearance.

There are two seats within, and the luggage compartment has a capacity of 310 liters (10.9 cubic feet). Electric windows, air conditioning, and ABS are standard, with keyless entry and start by smartphone.

Silence S04 will come in two models, each with distinct power output and battery capacity. The first will be designated as an L6e light quadricycle, with an electric engine rated at 8 hp (6 kW / 8 PS), a max speed of 45 km/h (28 mph), and a 5.6 kWh battery. In Spain, the S04 can be used with a moped license starting at the age of 15.

The second version will be designated as an L7e heavy quadricycle, which will have a 19 hp (14 kW / 19 PS) electric engine and a max speed of 90 km/h (56 miles). According to WMTC regulations, the twin battery with an overall capacity of 11.2 kWh has a range of 149 km (92.6 miles).

The batteries are detachable in both variants and can be swapped with fully charged ones at one of Silence's battery exchange facilities for a monthly fee of €20 ($23). As of yet, no official launch date has been announced, but the first Silence S04 vehicles are anticipated to appear in mid-2022, with prices starting at roughly €7,500.
