Meet the 600 HP Corvette C7 GT3-R by Callaway

The German company Callaway Competition has finished working on their track C7 GT3-R that is going race in the 2016 season.

This Corvette has a stunning carbon fiber body and amazing specs. It is powered by a 6.2-liter V8 engine with 600 hp mated to a 6-speed sequential gearbox. The vehicle complies with FIA regulations and is performing better than Callaway anticipated.

Callaway Competition has been in the business of building race cars since 1990 and has produced many Corvettes. Some of the better known are the SC627 with 627 hp that made 60mph in 3.4 seconds and the SC757 Z06 that has 757 hp and gets to 60 mph in just 2.8 seconds.

Note that the C7 GTR-3 took 2 years to complete and is the direct successor of the C6 Z06R GT3.
