Mazda BT-50 Gets A 1.9-Liter Turbo-Diesel Engine

Mazda Australia has added a new diesel engine to the BT-50 lineup, as well as additional trim levels. The new Mazda BT-50, which now comes with a 147-hp(110-kW) and 258 lb-ft (350 Nm) turbo-diesel four-cylinder engine, was a collaboration between Mazda and Isuzu. This is most likely the same motor that Isuzu has been supplying for some time now in the BT-50, and it is only offered in the XS trim level.

For towing up to three tons, the truck's new engine and automatic gearbox are paired together. Apart from steel wheels, Mazda's supplied identical characteristics on the XS with its 3.0-liter turbocharged four-cylinder diesel, Mazda BT-50 is also fitted with steel wheels.

LED headlights, adaptive cruise control with Stop & Go, a 7-inch infotainment screen with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, a reversing camera, autonomous emergency braking, blind-spot monitoring, dynamic stability control, hill descent control, hill launch assistance, lane departure warning, rear cross-traffic alert, and secondary collision reduction are just some of the standard features.

Mazda Australia has also unveiled the BT-50 SP, a new model in the company's lineup. On this variant, there are numerous contrasting brake and grey components, as well as a black grille, mirrors, 18-inch Satin Black wheels, dark grey side steps, Driftwood leather and black synthetic suede interior trim, and a gloss black sport bar. The top-of-the-line 3.0-liter engine is the only one available for the SP.
