Just 19 days ahead of the Mercedes-Benz scheduled unveiling, Mercedes decided to tease their fans with two images, the EQT compact electric van. This time, the unveiling event will happen via an extensive video on Mercedes‘ official video platform - Mercedes Me - as well as on social media at 11:00 AM CEST (5:00 AM EST).

Recently, the company published a video featuring the production of the skateboarding legend Tony Hawk. The video shows off the EQT and his standing chances at being both a lifestyle family vehicle and the commercial vehicle concept. The Electric Van has its strong points will be denoted by Gordon Wagener, Chief Design Officer for the Daimler Group, Marcus Breitschwerdt, head of vans, will also be there to show off the electric van many highlights.

This EQT will become part of the upcoming T-Class family and pose as the perfect electric entry. Also, this new compact van class is a new Mercedes member. It fits perfectly the V-Class entity - a handy family machine and commercial van dubbed Vito.

Back, in July 2020, after the first EQT teaser, Wagener stated that this model keeps up with the T-Class’ new layout and design, achieving a fusion of functionality and desirability. “With our unique design philosophy of Sensual Purity, we create an attractive family companion being the T-Class inspiring with its design, proportions, and its perceived value,” elaborated Wagener.

The T-Class was developed through a mixed partnership between Mercedes, Renault, Nissan, and Mitsubishi. Try and guess what platform will be on the EQT electric version - that is a great quiz for you today. So far, this electric van EQT will be the first premium small van offering a welcoming entry point into the brand’s family of vans.
