Lotus Reveals Further Eletre EV SUV Details

Several questions regarding Lotus's electric Eletre SUV have been answered after the company released new information on the vehicle. There will be three distinct versions to choose from, namely Eletre, Eletre S, and Eletre R. As standard, the drivetrain has a single speed and generates 603 horsepower (450 kW) and 523 lb-ft of torque.

The Eletre R is equipped with a powerful dual-speed system that generates 905 horsepower (675 kW) and 726 pound-feet of torque. The Eletre R also has a top speed of 165 mph and can accelerate to 62 mph in 2.95 seconds. The same sprint takes the weaker Eletre and Eletre S 4.5 seconds to finish.

The maximum range for the single-speed Eletre SUV is 373 miles, but the most powerful Eletre R can only go 309 miles. Both have a battery capacity of 112 kWh, which can be quickly charged from 10% to 80% in only 20 minutes. 
The first markets to offer the Eletre are China, the United Kingdom, and Europe. Lotus will provide six exterior color options (Natron Red, Galloway Green, Stellar Black, Kaimu Gray, Blossom Gray, and Solar Yellow) for the vehicle once it hits the market. Later, Lotus plans to release additional colors.

In all, there will be six caliper colors to choose from and five unique wheel styles with diameters of 20, 22, and 23 inches. Lotus will also let customers choose from six different color for the interior. The Lotus Eletre will be available in the United Kingdom for £89,500.
