With the time coming, Nyobolt will be evaluated in November on the testing roads of Britain. The vehicle aspires to illustrate the power of technology by using the battery’s potential in full.

Initially, the Lotus Elise designer visualized the bedrock car as a fast-charging EV that would become a road prototype by November, before other sports models scheduled for later.

Lotus Elise runs on advanced battery hardware developed by a technology firm from Great Britain known as Nyobolt. If the electric concept hits production, this will be limited to 25 cars per year, which will be decided approximately after 12 months after the prototype’s debut.

The cockpit for the Lotus Elise S1 EV presented at Goodwood was first designed by Julian Thomson in 2021 but wrapped up by the design agency Callum in Warwick founded by the ex-boss of design IanJLR.

The concept for the Cambridge-based Nyobolt relies on the Lotus Exige S chassis as a high-technology showcase.

The company’s main target is to prove that the batteries are no longer a hold-back in the way of the electric cars evolution and adds that recharging the battery will be as convenient as refuelling a petrol or diesel car. They strongly believe in the development of battery performance.

Sai Shivareddy, Nyobolt’s CEO, has announced that the company has already raised around 70 mln pounds for developing the batteries, which are very popular in the robotic industry.
