Lexus LBX Morizo RR Original Edition Debuts In Japan With GR Corolla Power

Imagine if Lexus and Gazoo Racing teamed up for a fun little project—that's pretty much the Lexus LBX Morizo RR. It’s a small crossover, but under the hood, it borrows the same 1.6-liter turbocharged three-cylinder engine from the GR Yaris and GR Corolla.
That means it’s packing 300 hp, all-wheel drive, and can hit 62 mph in just 5.2 seconds. Yep, it’s quick, and it’s still a Lexus.

Now there’s an even more exclusive version: the Lexus LBX Morizo RR Original Edition. Just launched in Japan, it comes with a sleek Sonic Chrome paint job and bold yellow accents on the front and brake calipers. It looks nearly identical to the concept Lexus showed last year, which also happens to match Toyota chairman Akio Toyoda’s personal car.

Only 100 units will be made, and you can’t just buy one—you have to win a lottery to even get the chance. Lexus hasn’t announced the price yet, but you can bet it’ll cost more than the regular version.

There aren’t any performance changes, but honestly, the base Morizo RR is already pretty spicy. Unfortunately, none of this will come to the US. While American buyers do get the GR Corolla, it’s a Toyota, not a Lexus, and it’s a hatchback, not a crossover.
