Lamborghini's 60th Birthday Surprise: Huracán Sterrato Opera Unica

Back in 2013, Lamborghini celebrated its 50th anniversary with the unveiling of Egoista, a Gallardo-based one-off with a single seat. However, the Raging Bull never sold it.

As Lamborghini accelerates towards its 60th birthday, it is bringing another special car into the spotlight, based on the Gallardo's replacement, the Huracán. But this is not just any Huracán; it's an adventurous Sterrato, turned into a one-of-the-kind masterpiece.

Compared to Enigma, one might think that the "Opera Unica" Huracán Sterrato doesn't have much to offer. But rest assured, it will astonish and delight you!

Unlike Egoista, which remained unsold, the Huracán Sterrato Opera Unica is part of a 1,499 piece production run, as denoted by a special plaque mounted inside.

Developed by Ad Personam, Lamborghini's department responsible for creating highly customized cars, the Opera Unica offers the breathtaking V10 supercar a finish that encapsulates Sardinia's seas and skies. It boasts a manually painted, three-color paint job designed to mimic the crystal effect of frozen liquid, along with 19-inch matte black wheels to round off the exterior tweaks.

Inside the car, the Sant'Agata Bolognese team opted for exposed carbon fiber surfaces and Blu Delphinus leather, which adorns the door cards, seats, and dashboard.

The first coat of paint applied was a solid Blu Amnis, followed by hand-engraved Blu Grifo, and then Blu Fedra in an arduous process that required over 370 hours to complete. The paint job is complemented by a matte black roof.

As a reminder, Lamborghini has already sold the entire Huracán production, and it is no longer available. The last V10 model with its natural aspiration will be assembled in the second part of the upcoming year, coinciding with the grand finish of the ICE-only Urus. The plug-in hybrid replacement will be available by the end of next year for both models.

Lamborghini's 60th-anniversary celebration with the Huracán Sterrato Opera Unica exemplifies the brand's commitment to artistry, innovation, and excellence, and continues to push the boundaries of automotive design.
