Lamborghini Temerario Super Trofeo Concept Debuts With 641 HP V8

Lamborghini is keeping its foot firmly on the gas. After showing off the wild Temerario GT3 earlier this year, the brand just revealed something even more exciting—the Temerario Super Trofeo Concept. It made its first appearance at the Misano World Circuit over the weekend, giving us a glimpse of the race car that’ll officially hit the track in 2027.
This new model will eventually take over from the Huracán Super Trofeo, and Lamborghini describes it as the “ultimate expression” of what makes its cars so much fun to drive.

It shares its engine and transmission with the GT3 version but is meant to be more accessible. Visually, it’s classic Lamborghini: dramatic, sharp, and a little bit crazy. The Super Trofeo wears a full aero kit with canards, a deep front splitter, and big vented fenders. Along the sides are aggressive skirts, and out back sits a massive wing and an even bigger diffuser. It’s built to look fast, but more importantly, every detail serves a purpose.

Power comes from a twin-turbo 4.0-liter V8 that skips any hybrid help. It produces 641 horsepower and sends it all to the rear wheels through a six-speed sequential gearbox by Hoer. It's designed for what Lamborghini describes as “gentleman ”racers”—enthusiasts who want the full-on race car experience without needing a professional racing license.

The chassis is constructed from aluminum and carbon fiber, featuring a full FIA roll cage for enhanced safety, as well as adjustable traction control and ABS. Lamborghini also name-dropped a few familiar performance brands—Capristo, BMC, and KW—hinting at what’s gone into the build.
Inside, it’s stripped down for racing but still distinctly Lamborghini. The dashboard is covered in Dinamica Infinity, a sustainable suede-like material that’s 100% recycled.

CEO Stephan Winkelmann put it best: “Lamborghini wasn’t born as a racing brand, but our customers have always wanted a car built purely for the track.” That’s exactly what the Temerario Super Trofeo is—raw, focused, and bursting with the kind of wild energy that defines Lamborghini.
