Lamborghini Is Reviving The Countach For Contemporary Age

Lamborghini Countach is one of the most iconic cars in the brand's history. Now, it's recreated for the 21st century. “We make fantasies come true,” Lamborghini said. In the 1970s, we accomplished it with the famous Countach. We're doing it all over again.”

The message was followed by a teaser film that recalls the Countach's history while also showing off a few details of the all-new model. A teaser image of the vehicle under a sheet was also shared by the company.

Regrettably, neither teaser is particularly enlightening, implying only that the car would have a wedge-shaped design similar to its forerunner. The contemporary Countach, on the other hand, appears to feature streamlined surfaces and a flowing ceiling, indicating that it will be significantly more aerodynamic.

Whilst Lamborghini is retaining the specs under wraps, the company has offered more teasers on its Unica App. According to one of them, the car will be named the Countach LP 800-4, which means it would feature an all-wheel drive and a power output of 789 horses (588 kW / 800 PS).

According to the Supercar Blog, the car will be modeled on the Sian FKP 37 and will come with a 6.5-liter V12 motor and a mild hybrid system. The Sian has 808 hp (602 kW / 819 PS), which is somewhat more than the Countach LP 800-4, so it looks plausible.

We won't have much to wait, as the new Countach will be unveiled at Monterey Car Week. According to reports, sales will be limited to 112 units, with prices starting at $3.5 (2.5 / €3) million.
