All 600 Lamborghini Aventador LP780-4 Ultimaes, the carmaker's final V12 flagship, have been snapped up in three months since it was unveiled as the company's farewell gift to the automotive world. Aside from the Aventador's production ending, the pure ICE V12 motor will be phased out in favor of an electrified V12 powertrain in the future Lamborghini flagship.

This 6.5-liter V12 Aventador debuted at the 2011 Geneva Motor Show with a carbon fiber monocoque chassis. The original LP700-4 was followed by the more robust LP750-4 SV, the facelifted S LP740-4, the track-focused LP770-4 SVJ, and the last LP780-4 Ultimae.

Lamborghini sold more than 10,000 Aventadors between 2011 and 2020, surpassing the total sales of all previous V12-powered flagships. The supply for the Ultimae was split into 350 coupes and 250 roadsters.

The renowed Lamborghini Aventador also served as a platform for several limited-edition supercars, including the Veneno, Centenario, SC18 Alston, Sián FKP 37, Essenza SCV12, SC20, and Countach LPI 800-4, all of which brought extra money into Lamborghini's banks.

The 112 units of the Countach LPI 800-4 unveiled earlier this year will follow the manufacture of the final Lamborghini Aventador. Considering that all present V12-powered versions are already taken, we anticipate that the next flagship will be revealed soon.

As part of CEO Stephan Winkelmann's Direzione Cor Tauri program, Lamborghini intends to electrify its entire lineup by 2024. The electrified replacements for the Aventador and Huracan, as well as the facelifted Urus, would get a plug-in hybrid powertrain. The first purely electric model from the company is expected to come between 2025 and 2027.
