Kimera Automobili might be new on the automotive market, but already has a brand new idea for a reimagined version of the Lancia O37. The iconic EVO37 rally car has a reimagined look and was recently unveiled by the Italian company combing the car’s look and today's modern technologies.

With the powerful 2.1-liter four-cylinder just like the original 037 under the hood, the engine still had a bit of redesigned done with Claudio Lombardi’s expertise -the engineer that builds the original engines for the rally cars and he ensured that the EVO37 boasts both a supercharger and a turbocharger delivering over 500 horsepower and 550 Newton-meters of torque, coupled to a manual transmission.

Turning the EVO37 into a remarkable performance machine was a true challenge since they wanted the reimagined vehicle to have redesigned Ohlins suspension, upgraded Brembo brakes, unique 18-inch front, and 19-inch rear wheels.

The differences between the Lancia 037s start with replacing the original fiberglass body panels made with lightweight carbon fiber parts. A lighter weight figure supposedly around 2,200 lbs the (1,000 kg), and with Kimera automaker promise for a faster car, the EVO37, there’s no doubt that it will be a success.

The exterior is still similar to the shape of the Lancia 037 and the modern touch is shown off by the updated head- and taillights. The beautiful EVO37 is offered in red finish paint and you may even choose between other different exterior finishes. Kimera will build only 37 units with its price starting at $585,000 (€480,000). The attendee of the EVO37 of the upcoming Goodwood Festival of Speed in September will be able to see the exposed new Kimera rally car.
