Jeep Announced A Wrangler Pickup And A Compass Successor In 2017

Jeep has officially confirmed its plans to launch two new models. The first one is a compact SUV, ready to replace the old Compass and the second will be a Wrangler pick-up.

One of the most experienced manufacturers of SUV- Jeep - has announced at the Detroit Auto Show that a new compact SUV and a pickup will be produced in the near future.

The compact 4x4 will be unveiled at the New York Auto Show, scheduled to open its doors on March 25. Until then, Jeep must choose a name for the new model that will replace the old Compass and Patriot.

Mike Manley, Jeep's global director, said that the new model will keep one of the above two names, but a final decision has not yet been taken. The dilemma is that Patriot is more popular in the United States and Compass is a name familiar worldwide.

The second model is a pickup, something that Jeep has not looked into lately. The model will be based on the next generation of the already legendary Wrangler, an off-road titan, expected to be replaced by the end of 2017. Therefore, the pick-up, which will be a Wrangler with a bin, is scheduled to make its debut in 2018.

Until then, we can expect a new concept from Jeep, which will most likely happen next year.
